Kia Grand Carnival, 11-seater to rival Innova Crysta


Kia Motors exhibited several products in 2018 Indian Auto Expo and finalized the 11-seater Carnival eying the increasing demand for Innova Crysta along with Kia Stonic Crossover and SP Concept. Here are more details about Kia Stonic. It will release the first compact SUV in 2019 and is thinking of launching sub-4 meter SUV based on its partner Hyundai’s Clarino. Stonic is made on the platform used for Hyundai Cona. It has front grill shaped like tiger nose, day running LED lights with angular headlamps, sloping roof design, attractive wheel arches that give the SUV a sportive look. Internationally, Kia Stonic is available with 1.2 liter petrol, 1 liter turbocharged petrol and 1.6 liter diesel with 5-speed, 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic gearbox.

This highly successful car is being brought in to rival Innova Crysta. This car is available in North America as Sedona with 5 doors with 7, 8, and 11 seating capacities. It has dual sun roof, power sliding, rear doors and 3-zone air conditioning system and other features. Carnival is available with 2.2 liter diesel and automatic transmission and may launch 11 seater variant in India. The company is making other cars in its plant in Penugonda, Andhra Pradesh and will make all cars to be sold in India here itself.

The company is planning to launch its first product in 2019 and has now finalized 2 more products to Indian market with Stonic and Carnival in the MPV segment. Looking at the present trend, it looks like both these cars will bring huge success for the company in India.
