Mahindra has announced the launch of the TUV300 Plus. The nine-seater SUV from Mahindra is available in three variants: P4, P6 and P8 starting from Rs 9.47 lakh, for the P4. The P6 and the P8 variant cost Rs 9.83 lakh and Rs 10.86 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom (Mumbai). All three variants are offered in five color choices including Majestic Silver, Bold Black, Dynamo Red, Molten Orange and Glacier White. The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is not a new model but updated version of the sub-four-metre TUV300. It shares the same front, along with many of the body panels with the sub-four-metre SUV. This is powered by a new Mohawk D120, 2.2-litre engine. It produces 120bhp and 280Nm of torque. The engine is further mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra has also equipped the TUV300 Plus with a micro-hybrid technology, as well as brake energy regeneration and ECO driving mode for better fuel efficiency.
The interiors have been designed by Italian design house, Pininfarina bought by Mahindra. It has attractive faux leather seats, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS and another connectivities options. It also has steering mounted audio controls, rear defogger, driver seat height adjust, rear wipers, armrest for the front row and follow-me-home headlamps. Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing, Mahindra Automotive, stated, “TUV300 PLUS for customers who are looking to travel with family with more space & more power and space. It reflects the new lifestyle of Indians.” Opinion Mahindra is getting ready to launch a number of products into the market, with the TUV300 Plus being the first. The company is also expected to launch its MPV, U321 soon. The Mahindra TUV300 Plus will rival the likes of the Renault Lodge and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the Indian market.
